Location and Directions

The most popular way to get to Skye is via the Skye Bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. You can also get to Skye via the Mallaig to Armadale Ferry or via the Glenelg - Kylerhea Ferry.

Directions from Fort William to the Skye Bridge

Leave Fort William on the A82 to Spean Bridge. Continue on the A82 at Spean Bridge and along Loch Lochy. At Invergarry take the A87 junction on the left and follow the A87 turning left at Cluanie (signposted Skye Bridge). Continue on the A87 through Glen Shiel, Dornie, and Balmacara (Reraig) until you reach Kyle of Lochalsh (for the Skye Bridge).

Directions from Inverness to the Skye Bridge

Take the A82 from Inverness to Drumnadrochit, continue on the A82 to Invermoriston where you turn right onto the A87. Continue on the A87 through Glen Shiel, Dornie and Balmacara (Reraig) until you reach Kyle of Lochalsh (for the Skye Bridge).

Directions from the Skye Bridge

Follow the A87 off the Skye Bridge, through BROADFORD and continue to SLIGACHAN HOTEL. At the Sligachan Hotel turn left onto the A863 and follow the road until you come to the junction marked CARBOST (B8009). Turn left on to the B8009 and continue until you come to a junction on your left marked GLENBRITTLE. At this junction there is a narrow right hand bend / bridge and as you cross it you will see "Manish", at the foot of the right hand drive, the second house on your right overlooking Loch Harport.
